Craig Cescon - Co-owner of SGB Riptide Hockey Craig brings a wealth of hockey experience to the program as a player and coach. The Mississauga, ON native grew up playing his AAA minor hockey in the GTHL. Craig started his Junior career playing 1 season in the OJHL with the Burlington Cougars and the following 4 seasons in OHL with the Plymouth Whalers, Mississauga Ice Dogs and Peterborough Petes. In 2006 Craig and the Petes went on to win an OHL Championship and compete for the Memorial Cup. After Junior Craig made the jump to professional hockey which saw him play 13 seasons in North America and Europe. In 2015, Craig went on to win another championship with the Coventry Blaze of the EIHL. Since completing his final season of professional hockey in 2020, Craig is currently in his 3rd season as a head coach in Junior A Hockey. “We’re passionate about pushing young hockey players to greatness while ensuring they enjoy every moment of the journey. Brent Cescon - Co-owner of SGB Riptide Hockey Brent honed his hockey skills between the pipes in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) during his minor hockey years, showcasing talent and dedication on the ice. Transitioning to junior hockey, he spent four impactful years with the Burlington Cougars in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), where his passion for the game continued to flourish. Brent even had a short stint in PEI where he played for the Summerside Western Capitals. In addition to his playing career, Brent also served as a hockey instructor, sharing his knowledge and passion for the game with aspiring athletes at various camps and hockey schools throughout the years. His commitment to hockey extends beyond the ice, leaving a lasting impact on the next generation of players. “In our coaching philosophy, we believe in nurturing young hockey players into well-rounded athletes who embrace the joy of the game.
